What neuropathy care costs, and what insurance covers
Most clinics will not talk about cost until you are in the room. We would rather you knew before you came.
The evaluation

The program
The cost depends on what your evaluation shows and how long a program the doctor recommends. You get the total in writing, with everything it includes, before you decide.
Paying over time
Payment plans are available through Cherry, with no hard credit check to see if you qualify.

What is and is not covered
- Original Medicare: covers spinal adjustments by a chiropractor when medically necessary. It does not cover the neuropathy evaluation or program.
- Private insurance: chiropractic visits are often covered in part. The neuropathy program usually is not. We check your benefits and tell you your costs before care begins.
- Auto and workers’ compensation claims: injury care is handled through the claim. See our injury care page.

Questions about paying
Why doesn't Medicare cover this?
Medicare Part B covers one chiropractic service: manual manipulation of the spine to correct a subluxation, when medically necessary. It does not cover examinations, X-rays, or other therapies provided or ordered by a chiropractor. That is a Medicare rule, not ours.
Will my Medicare Advantage or supplement plan pay?
Some Medicare Advantage plans add chiropractic benefits beyond Original Medicare, but they rarely extend to a neuropathy program. We will check your plan with you before your visit.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Many patients do. Check with your plan administrator about your specific account.
Is there a contract?
You receive the recommended program and its total cost in writing. Take it home and think it over. There is no pressure to decide on the day.
